For the novice silver mage, saplings are the safest of the wose-kind to summon. While they are full of energy, napping for mere days rather than decades, their exuberance can be managed on account of their lacking strength.

While a sapling's youth reduces the danger of the summon, it also increases the risk of a lost ally. If the youngling should discover the silver magic now imbued in his very bark, he may teleport away out of sheer excitement, never to return.
