Bloodguard

(image)

Some ascendant Twilight Dragoons recognize the dangers of the primal hunger awakened by their mutation. Blood, as it would appear, need not be collected solely from the infected, but from the healthy survivors or their Dragoon brethen alike. The only recourse for such palebloods is to tear away the signs of the mutation, the great pale wings of their namesake and submit themselves to rigid self-discipline and abstinence from the blood of the living. In self-opposed penance for their percieved blight on the honor of the Dragoons, they throw themselves into the thick of the battle, seeking atonement through sacrifice.

Nonetheless, Bloodguards maintain their power to manipulate lifeblood, but use their own bodies for a source, channeling it into an power-multiplier for their fearsome weaponry. Such self-mastery can be similarly turned to towards the grevious injuries they receive in combat, resulting in considerable survivability.
